Private Cloud Appliance X10 Management Switch Ethernet Connections

This section applies to the Private Cloud Appliance X10 rack configuration, which uses Oracle Server E5-2L 2U compute nodes. The table lists the cabling connections for the management switch. These are Ethernet connections intended for the internal administration network.

(*) – Indicates a rack unit designated as a flex bay. These rack units can contain compute nodes or storage nodes. The rack unit and port numbers assigned to flex bays only apply when a compute node is installed in that location.

(^) – Indicates a rack unit reserved for an expansion compute node. To maintain balanced availability domains, compute nodes must be installed in multiples of 3. The reserved slot allows for 6 compute nodes to be installed without sacrificing a second flex bay.
