Monitor a File Transfer

Review the progress and outcome of the download and upload stages of a file transfer.

Use the Transfer Jobs page to monitor a transfer after it is initiated. ECP Data Bridge first downloads the selected content to local storage. After the download completes successfully, the upload to OCI Object Storage begins automatically.

Initiate a file transfer. See Initiate a File Transfer.

  1. Sign in to the ECP Data Bridge local UI.
  2. Open the Transfer Jobs page.
When you initiate a transfer, ECP Data Bridge opens this page automatically.
  3. Locate the transfer job that you want to monitor.
Use the following information to identify the job:
    • Transaction ID

    • Username

    • Source

    • Source folder

    • Destination folder

    • Amount of data downloaded and total transfer size

  5. Wait for the download stage to complete. After the download completes successfully:

  6. During the upload stage, review the following information:

    Canceled

The download or upload was canceled before it completed.

  8. If the job displays an error, review the information in the error field.
The error information identifies whether the failure occurred during the download or upload stage and provides the available failure reason.
  9. To review the status of each file in the transfer, select View Files.

For more information, see View Files in a Transfer Job.

Depending on the job status:

  • For a job that is still in progress, you can cancel the current operation. See Cancel a Transfer Job.

  • For an eligible failed or canceled upload, you can start the upload again. See Retry an Upload.

  • For a failed or canceled download, return to the Sources page and initiate a new transfer.
