Inactive Elements
An inactive entity is a service, integration, number block, voice gateway, or voice bot that is temporarily unavailable because the system detected a corrupted or unstable condition. The inactive state protects the service environment by preventing changes that could worsen the condition or affect dependent entities.
The system places an entity inactive when it detects a condition that prevents the entity from operating reliably. This protective state helps isolate the problem, preserves the current configuration for investigation, and reduces the risk of cascading failures.
Inactive entities remain visible. They are displayed with a visual indicator, such as a grayed-out appearance or warning icon. When you open the configuration for an inactive entity, the page displays a banner explaining that the entity is inactive and that you must contact an administrator for assistance.
- For services: editing, pausing, resuming, and managing associated number blocks or integrations.
- For integrations: enabling, disabling, editing, or deleting the integration.
- For number blocks: pausing, resuming, moving, splitting, merging, or removing the number block.
Do not attempt to work around the restrictions on an inactive entity. Contact your administrator or Oracle Support and provide the entity type, entity name or ID, and the time at which you observed the inactive state. The operations team investigates the condition and performs the required corrective action. When necessary, Oracle Support works with the relevant service provider to restore the entity. After recovery is complete, the entity becomes available for normal management again.
For subscription-based services or integrations, billing is suspended for the period during which the entity is inactive and unusable. You are not charged for that unusable period. Contact your account representative or Oracle Support if you have questions about billing adjustments.
