Adding or Updating the Custom Reports Schedule in Projects/Shells and Project/Shell Templates
After you create and publish Custom Reports, you can use the Custom Reports Schedule feature to update a specific group of shells or templates, or to update all shells and templates. The list on the Custom Reports Schedule page includes only published shell-level reports that use the Internal or External Data Model type and were published in the Company Workspace.
For more information about Custom Reports, see Configuring and Publishing Oracle Analytics Server Custom Templates (Custom Prints and Reports).
Information specific to Custom Reports:
- The Schedule Name must be unique.
- The system generates a unique name for each report instance. It usually uses the following naming convention:
ScheduleName_ShellOrProjectNumber_RunDate. - By default, the system identifies the Report User as the person who created the Custom Reports Schedule. You can select a different user from the shell template.
- You can create multiple schedules for the same report and select a different output format for each schedule: PDF, Excel, or RTF.
- If a schedule exists with the same name in the receiving project/shell, Unifier replaces the existing schedule with the new schedule. The new schedule updates the following information:
- Schedule and format updates
- Added or changed users or groups
- Added or changed permissions
- If you change a Custom Report to Draft status, it no longer appears on the Custom Reports Schedule log, and any associated jobs are paused. After you change the report back to Published status, the scheduled job resumes automatically based on the defined schedule.
