Administrator Responsibilities and Service Boundaries
Administrators enable reliable use of Visual Explorer by managing access, coordinating country configuration and data changes, validating customer-visible information, and supporting users when expected content is unavailable.
Administrator Responsibilities
Administrators are responsible for:
- enabling and reviewing user access in line with organizational identity policies;
- confirming that configured regions, crops, layers, and detection dates are appropriate for user access;
- coordinating with data stewards when authoritative country data or crop definitions change;
- validating Visual Explorer after configuration or data updates; and
- collecting the context needed to resolve a user-reported availability issue.
Managed-Service Boundaries
Oracle Agriculture Intelligence is a managed service. Customer administrators focus on the configuration, governance, and user-access responsibilities described in this guide. They do not manage the underlying service infrastructure or data-processing implementation.
For detailed responsibilities for country data, refer to the Digital Twin and Data Onboarding Guide. When a service issue requires assistance beyond user access, configuration, or expected data availability, collect the relevant context and follow your organization’s support process.
Launch Readiness
Before inviting users to Visual Explorer, confirm that:
- the approved identity and authorization process is in place;
- the country, region hierarchy, and configured crops have been validated;
- the intended layers and detection dates are available;
- a representative user can open Visual Explorer and review the expected map and production information; and
- data owners and support contacts know how to report and review availability issues.
