Canceling An Appointment

The Appointment transaction also allows a user to cancel an appointment. This simply breaks the linkage between a field activity and an appointment period.

The following points describe other mechanism that can cause appointment cancellation:

  • If a user changes the start or stop date associated with a service agreement on the Start/Stop page, the system cancels all pending field activities and creates new ones. When the pending field activities are canceled, the appointments are implicitly canceled. The new field activities will NOT be linked to an appointment period when they are created (the user must make new appointments).
  • If a user deletes a field activity, the appointment is implicitly canceled.
