Understanding Event Settlement Calculation Rules

Event settlement calculation rules are rules that perform event settlement calculations and create event settlement transactions, which represent credits that will be applied to a customer's bill based on participation in an individual event (see About Event Settlement Transactions). Event settlement calculation rules are created for a specific event settlement calculation group. For example, if you were configuring two event settlement calculation groups and both included a specific event settlement calculation rule, you would need to create two instances of the event settlement calculation rule, one for each group.

Event Settlement Rule - Consumption Based (X1-EventSettlementCalcRule)

This rule is used to calculate settlement results for consumption-based ("kWh Avoided") events.

Event Settlement Rule - Demand Based (X1-EventSetCalcRuleDemandBased)

This rule is used to calculate settlement results for demand-based ("kW Drop") events.
