External System Setup

An external system must be setup in order integrate Oracle Utilities Network Management System. Define message senders for the following Outbound Message Types and associate them to the external system:

  • NMS Outage Call (C1-NMSOUTCAL)

  • NMS Job History Query (C1-NMSJOBHST)

  • NMS Call History Query (C1-NMSCALHST)

  • NMS Planned Outages Query (C1-NMSPLNOUT)

For synchronizing outage related notification preferences to NMS, define a message sender for the Outbound Message to Notify Edge Applications (C1-NTFOUTMSG) Outbound Message Type and associate it to the external system.

Once the external system is defined, configure the so the system knows which external system to use for outage queries.
