Understanding Event Settlement Calculation Groups

Event settlement calculation groups are collections of event settlement calculation rules that are used to calculate event settlement transactions, which represent credits that will be applied to a customer's bill based on participation in an individual event (see About Event Settlement Transactions). The rules within an event settlement calculation group are defined in a specific sequence, allowing control over the order in which the rules are executed.

Event settlement calculation groups are associated with specific programs. When assigned to programs, event settlement calculation groups contain the event settlement calculation rules to be used to calculate settlements associated with events for the program.

Event settlement calculation groups are defined by the following:

  • Division: The division to which the calculation group belongs.

  • Calculation Group Class: The class to which the event settlement calculation group belongs (default is Event Settlement Calculation Group).

  • Event Settlement Calculation Rules List: One or more event settlement calculation rules belonging to the program calculation group
