About Metered Service

Metered service records represent a customer's service agreements and usage subscriptions in Oracle Utilities Customer Cloud Service (or Oracle Utilities Customer to Meter),

Metered service records are created via a data synchronization process between Digital Asset Cloud Service and Customer Cloud Service.

Metered Service records are used as Master Subscriptions when creating Program Subscriptions.

Metered service records are defined by the following:

  • Metered Service Type: The metered service type record on which the metered service is based. Metered service types define certain parameters and attributes of a class of metered services.

  • Status: The current status of the metered service record.

  • Start and End Date/Time: The date and time on which the metered service record started, and ended (if applicable).

  • External ID: An ID used to identify the metered service record in an external system.

  • External Account ID: An ID used to identify the account associated with the metered service record in an external system.

  • Main Customer: The Program Subscription Contact associated with the metered service record.

  • Time Zone: The time zone associated with the metered service record.

  • Metered Service Points: A list of one or more metered service points associated with the metered service record, including the start and stop dates and times for each.

  • Rate History: A list of one or more effective-dated Oracle Utilities Customer Care and Billing or Oracle Utilities Customer to Meter (or Customer Cloud Service) rates for the metered service record. These are used to determine a customer's eligibility to participate in a program. Rates can be defined using the Customer Rate Schedule extendable lookup.
