Maintaining a Batch Configuration
Introduction
Maintaining a Batch Configuration ensures that any business requirement that require a change in Batch execution is immediately addressed. This mainly involves a change in frequency of Batch Execution, that can be handled by editing the corresponding Batch Configuration by replacing the Batch Schedule. Additionally, to discontinue batch processing, you can delete the Batch Configuration.
Editing a Batch Configuration
While editing a Batch configuration, you can make the following changes:
- Edit Basic Information: You can change details of the Batch configuration like, Name, Long Name, and Description.
- Replace Schedule: You can replace the Schedule specified for the Batch configuration with another one.
- Edit Processing Parameters: You can edit the Batch Job parameters like Processing Set Size, Processing Set Size Fail Threshold, and Overall Fail Threshold.
To edit a Batch configuration, follow the steps below:
- Access the Oracle Financial Services Cloud application.
- From Menu, select Configuration.
- Select Batch, and then select Batch.
- On the landing page, against the Batch configuration you want to edit, select Edit from More Menu in Action column. Alternatively, you can select the Batch configuration you want to edit. This opens the Summary page of the Batch configuration. You can select Edit on this page to start editing the details of the Batch configuration.
- To change the identification details of the Batch configuration, edit the following attributes under Basic Information: Name, Long Name, and Description.
- To replace the Schedule attached to the Batch configuration, select More Menu under Action and select Replace. You can search and select another Schedule for the Batch configuration.
- To edit the processing parameters of the Batch Job, navigate to the Job from the left pane. You can edit the following parameters: Processing Set Size, Processing Set Size Fail Threshold, and Overall Fail Threshold.
- Once you make the required changes to the Batch configuration, select either Save to save the changes, or Save & Exit to save the changes and return to the landing page.
Deleting a Batch Configuration
You can delete a Batch configuration only before the Batch has begun its initial execution. After a Batch has executed at least once, you cannot delete its configuration. Deleting a Batch also deletes the Batch Job configuration under it.
To delete a Batch configuration, follow the steps below:
- Access the Oracle Financial Services Cloud application.
- From Menu, select Configuration.
- Select Batch, and then select Batch.
- On the landing page, against the Batch configuration you want to delete, select Delete from More Menu in Action column. Alternatively, you can select the Batch configuration you want to delete. This opens the Summary page of the Batch configuration. Select Edit to open the Update Batch page and select Delete from the Actions menu.
