Creating Forms Definition

You can create a Forms Definition from Forms Definition - Summary to select the table and the attributes to modify. You can create a Forms Definition by using either of the following methods:

When a Forms Definition is created, a supervisory user with the necessary role can validate the configuration of the Forms Definition and approve it. This approved form can be later used by a different user to perform Data Entry. For more information, see Data Entry.

Note:

A user who creates a Form would not be able to perform Data Entry even if the same user provides the required permissions while creating a Form.

For example, consider if the user AAIUSER is creating a Form to modify the product data. If this user provides permission to perform data entry while creating a Form, the same user would not be able to perform this operation from Data Entry and the following error is displayed:

“Maker cannot Approve/Reject the Record”

You can also auto-approve Forms that are created using the Designer option. When you auto-approve the Form, the user performing the Data Entry does not have to send the entries for an approval cycle.
