Reconciliation Balance

Balance Reconciliation compares the balance selected in Ledger Balance with the balance selected in Instrument Balance.

In Ledger Balance, select the applicable Management Ledger financial element. For example, select Ending Balance (100) to reconcile ending balances or Average Balance (140) to reconcile average balances. Additional configured financial elements can also be selected where applicable.

In Instrument Balance, select the balance measure that corresponds to the reconciliation requirement:
  • Average Gross Book Balance
  • Current Par Balance
  • Current Gross Book Balance
  • Original Gross Book Balance
  • Original Par Balance

Reconciliation is performed for the selected combination of ledger balance, instrument balance, source table, ledger table, data filter, and reconciliation dimensions.

The system uses the entered balance when Currency is included as a reconciliation dimension. When Currency is not selected, the system uses the functional balance.

At run time, select Include GL Only Balances if balances that are available only at the ledger level also need to be reconciled. When selected, the system includes GL-only balances while reconciling ledger balances against instrument balances.

At run time, select the As-of-Date for which Balance Reconciliation must be performed.
