4.2.2 Using Case ID, Event ID, and Tax ID

Using the Case ID or Event ID or Tax ID enables you to search cases by simply entering the case or event or tax IDs. When searching by Case ID or Event ID or Tax ID, consider the following:

  • Enables you to search cases by simply entering the case or event or tax IDs.
  • It is mutually exclusive with all other search criteria.
  • If you attempt to search by a combination of case or event or tax ID and other search criteria, the search results display only based on the case or event or tax ID and ignore other criteria.
  • It exactly matches the values you have entered. You can search for one or more cases or event or tax IDs.

To search for cases using Case or Event or Tax IDs, follow these steps:

  1. Navigate to the Case Search and List page.
  2. Click Advanced Search. The Advanced Search pop-up appears.
  3. Enter one or more unique case or event identification numbers in the Case ID or Event ID or Tax ID field.

    To search for multiple IDs, separate the Case or Event or Tax IDs with commas.

  4. Click Search or press the Enter key on the keyboard. The Case List page is displayed information about the cases with the Case ID or Event ID or Tax ID that exactly matches the values you have entered.
    Search by Case or Event or Tax IDs ignore all other search criteria.
