5.6.4 Using External Entity Tab
About External Entity Tab
- External Entity List: details the list of external entities associated with
the selected case. The following details are displayed:
- Type: Displays the type of entity. For example, XA for external account.
- Entity ID/Name: Displays the name or ID of the external entity.
- Associated Institution: Associated institutions may be banks, financial institutions, and so on. The Associated Institution column displays a summary of the associated institutions related to the selected external entity. This section displays details such as bank name and bank ID details. This has two subsections: ID and Name
- Jurisdiction: Displays the name of the jurisdiction.
- Risk Information: Displays the value of risk associated with the selected external entity.
- Created On: The date when the record was created in the business data.
- Last Activity: The last activity date of this external entity.
- Last Updated: The date when the record was updated during an edit.
- Edit History: Click the History link to view a
historical record of changes made to the external entity records.
This link displays only for records which have been edited.
Note:
When you click an Entity ID in the ExternalEntityListsection, the details of associated Entity Names and corresponding Entity IDs will display in Related External Entity window. Multiple Entity Names can be present for an Entity ID or Multiple Entity IDs can be present for an Entity Name. For example, External Entity ID "123456" can display multiple Entity Names, such as "GE Industrial Services", "GE Industrial Svr", "GE Ind. Svrs" in Related External Entitywindow. Similarly, External Entity Name "GE Industrial Services" can display the Entity IDs, such as "11", "22", "33" in Related External Entitywindow. An Entity ID/Name can have multiple Addresses which will be displayed in the Address window.
- External Entity Details: provides complete information of the selected external entity
- View and analyze the complete list of external entities associated with the case
- Add, modify, and remove external entities
- Designate as an involved party
- Retrieve the latest external entity details using Current Information window
- View and analyze external entities details, related risks, and associated institutions
- Add, modify, and remove contact information and watch list members
Managing External Entity List
The External Entity List section allows you to view the list of external entities associated with the selected case. This section displays entity ID or type, entity name, last activity date information for each external entity.

- Viewing current information of external entities. For more information, see Viewing Current Information.
Managing External Entity Details
This section allows you to view and analyze the complete details of the selected external entity. You can also add and modify or remove information in contacts and watch lists to update the external entity associated case.
To view the External Entity Details tabs, follow these steps:
- Select an external entity in the External Entity List using the check box.
- Click View External Entity Details. The tabs are displayed.

Managing Contact Information
This section displays the list of addresses, phone numbers, and emails associated with the selected external entity. You can add new contact information and modify or remove the existing contact information.
To add, modify, or remove contact information for the selected external entity, see Managing Business Entity Records. Click the Historylink to view a historical record of changes made to the contact information. This link displays only for records which have been edited.
Viewing Additional Information
This section displays additional information about the external entity provided in the Add External Entity API. Multiple levels of information is displayed in simplified manner. You cannot modify the information displayed on this tab.

Managing Risk List Memberships
This section displays the watch lists associated with the selected external entity. You can map additional watch lists to the external entity and modify or remove the existing watch lists. Click the Historylink to view a historical record of changes made to the watch lists the external entity is associated with. This link displays only for records which have been edited.
Adding New Watch Lists to the External Entity
To add new watch lists, follow these steps:
- Navigate to the External Entity tab.
- Select the required External Entity ID. The External Entity Details section is displayed.
- Go to the Risk List Memberships section and click Add. The Risk List Memberships window is displayed.
- For more information, see Adding New Watch Lists. Additionally, enter the matched name information.
- To modify or remove the existing watch lists records, see Managing Business Entity Records.
Viewing Related Parties
The Related Parties section displays details of the parties (customer and non-customer) which are considered related to this external entity as specified in the Party to Party Relationship data.
You can filter the Related Parties by Relationship Type using the drop-down list.
To add/edit/delete a related party, follow these steps:
- Select an external entity in the External Entity List using the check box.
- ClickView External Entity Details icon.
The tabs are displayed.
- Go to Related Parties tab.
- In the Related Parties grid, click the Add icon.
The Add Related Parties page is displayed.
- Select the related party from the Related Party ID drop-down. The Customer Yes/No drop-down is auto populated based on the selected related party. You can define the relationship type by selecting the type from the Relationship Type drop-down.
- Click Save to add the related party.
- Click the Edit icon, make the required changes, and click Save. The add and edit actions are recorded in the Audit History.
- Select a record, click the Delete icon, and click OK.
External Phone
External Phone tab is displayed for External Parties (External Entities having type as EP).
This section displays the external phone-related information – Phone Number, Extension Number, Description, and Edit History associated with the selected external entity. You can add a new record and modify or remove the existing ones.
