5.6.20 Using Transactions Tab
The Transactions tab allows you to perform a comprehensive analysis of transactions associated with the case.
- View and analyze the list of back office, cash, funds transfer, monetary instrument transactions associated with the case
- Associate new transactions with the case
- Disassociate or modify existing transactions
- View and analyze the list and individual transactions details
- View and analyze the transaction data of a customer for a various date range, using the Transaction Chart
Adding New Transactions
- Navigate to the Case Summary page.
- Click Transaction tab. The Transaction page is displayed.
- Click Add. The Add New Transaction window is displayed.

Managing Transactions
Viewing Transaction List Details
- Navigate to the Transaction tab. The transactions which are associated with this case display.
- Click the respective Transaction tab (Cash Transactions, Funds Transfer, Monetary Instrument Transaction, or Back Office Transaction) to view the Details.
- Click a transaction. The selected transaction window displays the details of the transaction and the number of transaction types associated with the case.
Viewing Individual Transaction Details
- Navigate to the Transaction tab.
- Go to the required Transaction section (Funds Transfer, Monetary Instrument Transaction, or Back Office Transaction).
- Select any one transaction from the list and click the Details link. The select transaction window is displayed with complete information.
Modifying and Removing Transactions
- Navigate to the Transaction tab.
- Go to the required transaction type section. For example, Funds Transfer, MI Transaction, Cash Transaction, and Back Office Transaction. The list of transactions is displayed.
- Select the required transaction. Click Edit. The Edit Transaction window is
displayed.

Select the required transaction. Click Delete.

Click the History link to view a historical record of changes made to the transactions. This link displays only for records which have been edited.
About Transaction Chart
This section displays a graphical representation of all the transactions for all the customers involved in the selected case within the defined time period. This helps investigators identify patterns of expected customer activity.

- Navigate to the Transactions diagram by clicking the Transactions tab from the Case Summary page.
- You can filter which transactions display in the chart.
- Select the types of Transactions you want to view in the graph. All Transaction Types are selected by default.
- Select the Customer you want to view the Transactions for, from the drop-down list. The graph will display transactions from all accounts of the customer.
- Select the Accounts you want to view Transactions for, from the drop-down list. All Accounts are selected by default.
- Select the date range for these transactions using the
Date To and Date From calendar options. The default search date
range is 3 months from the current date and it can be configured.
The OOB manual search date range is 12 months and it also can be
configured. For more details, see Administration
Guide.
- Scroll or zoom out to view a longer date range. You can also resize the window in the overview bar. The chart will display at the scale selected.
- Scroll or zoom in to view a shorter date range. You can also resize the window in the overview bar. The chart will display at the scale selected.
- Click and drag to move to other sections of the graph.
- The overview bar provides the trend of the transactions over the defined time period. Resizing the window in this bar displays the Transactions chart in the time range selected.
- Transaction Date: Specifies the date on which the transaction occurred.
- Transaction Category: Specifies the transaction category whether it is Debit Value, Credit Value, Debit Volume or Credit Volume
- Total Volume or Total Value: Specifies the transaction volume or value depending on the Transaction Category.
- Evented: Specifies whether the transaction is an evented transaction or not.
