Data Extraction Using Extraction Templates

Oracle Revenue Management and Billing enables you to extract voluminous data from the dataset using an extraction template. The C1-GENEX batch enables you to extract data from the predefined dataset using an extraction template. It enables you to extract data in a file format supported by the extraction template. It enables you to specify the data explorer zone for filtering the data during extraction. If the query in the data explorer zone returns multiple records, the batch extracts the data of each record in a separate file. However, if the query in the data explorer zone returns a single record, the batch extracts the data of the record in a single file. Note that the batch creates each file in a separate thread when multiple records are returned in the result set. Otherwise, the batch is executed in a single-threaded mode.

You can optionally configure whether you want to encrypt the file where the data is extracted using the data extraction template. The system will then secure the contents extracted using the data extraction template. If you select the File Decryption Required option in a data extraction template, ensure that you have the file decryption details configured in the master configuration of the C1-FileUploadInterfaceConfig business object (i.e., File Upload Interface Configuration).
