Hold Request Preference

The Hold Request Preference enables you to set the attributes that are used during:

• Manual Hold Request Creation Via Inbound Message - While manually creating or releasing a hold request via an inbound message, the system uses the following attributes from the hold request preference:

  • Default Manual Hold Reason

  • Default Manual End Date

  • Default Manual Hold Request Type Code

  • Default Manual Release Reason

  • Default Manual Discard Reason

• Automatic Hold Request Creation Via Inbound Message - While automatically creating a hold request when the status of an inbound message is changed to Rejected, the system uses the following attributes from the hold request preference:

  • Create Automatic Hold Request

  • Default Automatic Hold Reason

  • Default Automatic End Date

  • Default Automatic Hold Request Type Code

  • Characteristic Type for Bill Level 1

  • Characteristic Type for Bill Level 2

  • Characteristic Type for Bill Level 3

  • Characteristic Type for Bill Level 4

• Automatic Hold Request Creation Via File Upload Interface – While automatically creating a hold request when a billable charge creation or cancelation fails for an account through the File Upload Interface feature, the system uses the following attributes from the hold request preference:

  • Create Premium Hold Request

  • Default Automatic Hold Reason

  • Default Automatic End Date

  • Default Automatic Hold Request Type Code

The system considers the hold request preference which is specified in the Hold Request Field Mapping option type of the C1-HOLDSRCH feature configuration. You can define, edit, delete, and copy a hold request preference using the C1-FieldMapping business object through the Field Mapping screen. While creating a hold request preference, you must set the preference category to Hold Request.
