Authorize, then Finalize
Authorize, then Finalize separates card authorization from the final card payment. Merchants commonly use this flow for table service, bar tabs, and other hospitality environments where the final amount is not known when the card is first presented or when the cardholder is no longer present to finalize the transaction.
This flow is not used for charity donations or cash back.
