Partial Approval

If Partial Approval is enabled, certain card types, such as prepaid cards, can be approved for less than the requested amount when there are insufficient funds.

The approved amount is applied to the check total before a tip is added. If a balance remains, the workstation displays a warning so the user can collect the remaining amount using another payment method.
