Refunds

Refunds return money to the cardholder. Payment Cloud supports both referenced refunds and unreferenced refunds, when they are enabled in your configuration and supported by your payment provider.

Refund Types

• Referenced Refunds: Uses the original payment transaction reference. With some exceptions, the original card does not need to be present for a referenced refund.

• Unreferenced Refunds: Returns money to a cardholder without using an original payment transaction reference. The card must be present for unreferenced refunds.
