Link a Menu Item to Recipes

1. On the Dashboard page side navigation menu, click Recipe, and then click Menu Item Linking.

   The Menu Item Linking page displays all POS menu items and their linking status based on the filters selected.

2. Use the drop-down lists to filter the results, select the relevant Menu Item Name, and then click Link.
3. In the Location drop-down list, select a specific location or select All.
4. Select a Depletion Location if the stock on hand should not be depleted in the sales location.
5. If the recipe applies to every price level, select Always use Price Level 1.
6. If the recipe varies by price level, select Use individual linking for each Price Level, and then select one or more price levels.
7. At the bottom of the page, click Link Recipe.

   Alternatively, place the cursor in the Recipe field and press the Enter key.

8. Select the recipe to link, and then click OK.
9. Change the recipe quantity in the Qty field.

   For example, suppose a french fries recipe is linked to price levels 1, 2, and 3, representing small, medium, and large portions. If a small serving equals one portion, a medium serving equals 1.5 portions, and a large serving equals two portions, enter 1.5 for price level 2 and 2 for price level 3.

10. Click Update to save.
