4 Restaurant Display Controller (RDC) Configuration
The Restaurant Display Controller (RDC) provides an alternative to traditional PC-based KDS systems. The RDC is equipped with an embedded operating system that allows for quick and easy installation. Physically, the RDC unit takes up little space and can operate within an extended range of temperature and humidity, making it an ideal choice for kitchen environments. The RDC comes pre-loaded with CAL software.
This chapter provides instructions for upgrading the RDC to run Kitchen Display System (KDS) version 2.1.
