Menu Items

Through this integration, POS menu items are created in, updated in, and removed from GloriaFood.

To make a menu item appear in GloriaFood, the following must be assigned to a menu item definition in the POS software:
  • A menu tag configured to appear in GloriaFood

    • The tag is used to select the items to be available in GloriaFood.

  • A SLU assigned to the GloriaFood SLU Group

    • Within GloriaFood, the value located in the configured SLU slot (1 through 8) is used to categorize the item in GloriaFood.

  • An image assigned to the GloriaFood Image slot

    • Within GloriaFood, the URL entered for the configured Image slot (1 through 10) is used as the image shown on the GloriaFood website.

    • The image dimensions can be 335 x 225 or larger.

    • The image format is JPEG.

    • The maximum file size for an image is 1 MB.

The following rules apply to managing menu items:
  • GloriaFood creates a menu item for each price record assigned to a tagged Menu Item Definition.

  • For menu items with prices exclusively used by GloriaFood (not available on the POS), create a Menu Item Definition with the GloriaFood price and tag it appropriately for GloriaFood to import it. The following table shows an example of a Vanilla Orange Shake that is sold on the POS client for $5.00 and online for $7.00.

  • Each Menu Item Price record must be non-zero.

  • GloriaFood menu item naming:

    • If a price record is active on All Levels, the GloriaFood menu item name is Menu Item Definition – Name 1.

    • If a price record is active on a specific Level, the GloriaFood menu item name is Menu Item Definition – Name 1 (Price Record Menu Level Name).
