Employees
GloriaFood orders enter the POS software using an employee configured for this purpose. Configuring a dedicated employee record for GloriaFood orders makes it easier to track online orders.
Follow these steps to add an employee for GloriaFood.
- Log in to Simphony Home.
- Navigate to Labor Management and then Human Resources.
- Select Employee.
- Select Add.
- On the General tab, enter basic
employee information. The following table provides tips on employee
information.

Set any available role, but preferably not a Super role.

0. - On the Status tab, select today’s date in the Hire Date field.
- On the Location Configuration tab,
enter pay rate, job rate, and POS configuration information. The following
table provides tips on location configuration.

Field Description MagCard ID
Enter the magnetic card number assigned to the employee or swipe the employee card to enter the card number into the application. (The employee ID will be used later in Step 5 of GloriaFood Configuration.)
Is Salaried
Enable this field.
Job Rates tab
In the Location Name field, select the location.
In the Effective From field, select today’s date.
In the Job Code Name field, enter
Default (S).Click Update List.
POS Configuration
Select the [Location] from the list.
In the Employee Class field, select the employee class to which the employee is assigned.
Click Update List.
- Click Save.
- Click OK at the successful save message.
- Log in to EMC.
- Select the Enterprise, click Configuration, and then click Employee Maintenance.
- Click Search to view the employee list.
- Locate the GloriaFood employee.
It takes several minutes to update the employee information in EMC after adding it in Labor Management.
- Record the value shown in the Employee ID field in Simphony Configuration Values.

The GloriaFood interface requires the POS Employee ID when configuring the interface later in Step 5 of GloriaFood Configuration.
