Simphony 19.10
Devices
MySQL 8.4 Support
The MySQL version is upgraded to version 8.4.
Oracle Linux for Simphony Support
Oracle Linux for Simphony (Oracle Linux 9) is now supported. Device upgrade directions are available in ICCP (Answer 1022537).
Front of House Operations
Condiment Parent Tax Class Override Priority
Set a numeric priority for condiment parent tax class overrides, ensuring the correct tax class is applied to the parent item when more than 1 of its condiments can change its tax class.
Condiment Threshold Quantity Increase
The quantity of condiment thresholds has increased from 2 to 8, allowing for more flexibility in how condiments can be charged for.
Negative Priced No and Plain Pre-fix Condiments
Optionally reduce an item’s price when removing default condiments using No or Plain pre-fix condiments.
Restrict Prices to Order Types
Restrict a price to one or more order types, allowing items to be priced differently when those order types have different costs. For example, a different price is offered on delivery platforms than in the store.
Removed Definition Dependency from Transaction Processing
Open checks containing deleted definition data (for example: menu items, prices, tender, and service charges) can now be picked up and worked on. See ICCP (Answer 1022548) for more detail.
Round Change Due in Consumer’s Favor
Optionally force change due calculations to round in the consumer’s favor, eliminating the possibility of upsetting a consumer that is paying cash.
Kitchen Operations
Suppress Condiment Quantity when Consolidating Items
When consolidating item, the Kitchen Display Client will no longer show an addition quantity next to the condiment count. For example, if a cashier individually orders 3 coffees with 2 sugars, the KDS client will now display 3 coffee with 2 sugar instead of 3 coffee with 3 2 sugar, as the consolidated items are identical.
Integrations
Guest Pay for Simphony Payment Interface Partners
The Simphony Guest Pay, which only supported Oracle Payments previously, can now be used with 3rd party Payment Service Providers integrated with the Simphony Payment Interface.
Transaction Services Gen 1 (STSG1)
Transaction Services Gen 1 (STSG1) is no longer supported, and its endpoints won’t function on clients running 19.10 or later. Clients running Simphony 19.9 and earlier will continue to support STSG1 (so an Enterprise can be on 19.10 while a client can be on 19.9 and still utilize STSG1).
