Changing the punctuation filter for a dictionary type
Use this procedure to change the characters in the punctuation filter for a dictionary type. The punctuation filter identifies characters that you want the coding algorithm to consider as punctuation in the step that removes punctuation.
- Select Start > Apps > Dictionary Loader.
The Dictionary Loader dialog box appears.
- Select a connection and connect to the database.
For more information, see Connecting to the database.
- Select the Types node for the active connection from the Data Connections tree in the left pane.
Information about the Dictionary Types for this connection appears in the top pane.
- Select a dictionary type.
An arrow appears in the column to the left of the Type column.
- Select Dictionary > Change Punctuation Filter.
The Punctuation Filter dialog box appears.
- Add or remove characters as necessary.
- Click OK.
