Inactivating a dictionary
Inactive dictionaries remain in the list of dictionaries for a connection and can be reactivated if necessary. You must inactivate a dictionary before you can delete it.
- Select Start > Apps > Dictionary Loader.
The Dictionary Loader dialog box appears.
- Select a connection and connect to the database.
For more information, see Connecting to the database.
- Select the Dictionaries node for the active connection.
- Select a dictionary.
- Select Dictionary > Inactivate.
The dictionary status changes to INACTIVE. The dictionary is defined and data is loaded into the schema, but the dictionary is not available for coding.
