Upgrading a coding definition

Use this procedure to create a new coding definition for the new dictionary version by upgrading an existing coding definition.

After you start the upgrade process for a coding definition, you can no longer cancel impact analysis.

  1. Select Coding Setup > Coding Definitions.

    The Coding Definitions page appears.

  2. Select a coding definition.
  3. Select Actions > Upgrade.

    The Upgrade Coding Definition dialog box appears.

  4. In the New column, specify the following:
    • Coding definition name
    • Dictionary version
    • Synonym list
  5. Configure the assignment rules for the coding definition, based on the descriptions in Upgrade Coding Definition dialog box.
  6. Click OK.
  7. Change the order in which assignment rules run so that the new assignment rules run first for the coding definition. For more information, see Changing the order in which assignment rules run.
