Add entities in bulk

If you have to add a lot of entities, you can save time by adding them to a CSV file and uploading the file.

To add entities one at a time, see Add an entity.

To upload multiple entities for an organization at once:
  1. Along the top, select the Entities tab.
  2. On the right and toward the top, select Load Entities.
  3. To learn about the requirements for the CSV file, perform one or both of the following steps:
    • To learn about the format of the file and the required fields, select CSV Format.
    • To see a sample file that uses the correct format, select Download Sample.
  4. Build the CSV file according to the guidelines. If you work in the sample file, make sure you remember to remove the rows with placeholder data.
  5. After the CSV file is finished, perform one of the following steps:
    • Drag the file to the drag and drop area.
    • Click Choose file, browse to the file, and double-click the file.

    Oracle COVID-19 Patient Monitoring System processes and uploads the file. If the file contains a large number of entities, this step could take a little while.

    If the file doesn't meet the upload requirements or if the organization column doesn't match your organization's details, a list of issues appears for your review. You must correct any errors before you can continue with the upload.

    After the file passes the validation review, the Preview Entity Data page appears.

  6. Review the preview information to ensure its accuracy.
  7. Click Load x Entities, where x is the number of entities in the CSV file.
    You see a success message.
  8. Optional: To return to the Entities page and view all the entities, select View Entities.
