Add an entity

An entity is a group container for participants that you want to monitor and analyze together. An organization must include at least one entity, but most include several entities.

Your Oracle Customer Success manager creates your entities according to your data analysis needs. To learn more about entity options, see Entities with parent-child relationships.

If you need to add several entities, you can save time by adding them to a CSV file and uploading the file as described in Add entities in bulk.

To add an entity to an organization:
  1. Along the top, select the Entities tab.
  2. On the right and toward the top, select Add Entity.
  3. Enter data in the following fields:
    • Entity Name: Enter a unique name for the entity.
    • Code: Enter a unique short name for the entity.
    • Address, Address 2, City, State, and ZIP Code
    • Support Notification Preference: Select the way that participants in this entity contact support.
      • Organization Default: Participants see the contact method that was selected for the organization.
      • Email: Participants see only the email address for support.
      • Mobile: Participants see only the phone number for support.
      • Both: Participants see the email and phone number for support.
      Make sure you provide the email, phone number, or both in the next two fields to ensure you provide a way to contact support.

      Note:

      If you set a different contact method for an entity and its organization, the entity-level setting overrides the organization-level setting. For example, consider an organization that has a contact method of Mobile. Within the organization, Entity A has a contact method of Email. Participants in Entity A see the support email address, while participants in Entity B see the support phone number.
    • Support Email: Enter the email address for the support team.
    • Support Phone Number: Enter the phone number for the support team.
    • Entity for uploading SneezSafe Participants: Select this field if the SneezSafe app uploads daily updates for participants who are in this entity. If you select this field, participants who are associated with this entity don't receive text or email requests to complete their daily updates.

      After you save, this field becomes read-only. Contact your Oracle Customer Success manager if you need to change the field.

    • Send any Notifications to Participants: Select this field if the entity is a SneezSafe entity, or if you don't want to send any messages to any participants in the entity. If you don't send messages, participants cannot complete their daily updates.
    • Parent Entity: If you are creating entities with parent-child relationships, and this entity is a child of another entity, select the parent entity. If you haven't created the parent entity yet, you can leave this field blank for now and select the parent entity later, after you create it.

  4. Select Add Entity.
