Organization roles

Organization roles give users access to information for an entire organization. Some roles also let users see personally identifiable information (PII) and update organization and entity information.

If you need to update a single entity or monitor participant data for a single entity, assign entity roles to the user instead of organization roles. For more information, see Add a user at an entity.

Role Description

Organization Coordinator

An Organization Coordinator makes updates that affect the entire organization, including adding entities and participants. At least one person must have this role, and we recommend choosing at least one backup.

Organization coordinators can also schedule appointments for participants.

Call Center Agent

A Call Center Agent works for the organization's help desk. This person acts as the point of contact for participants who have questions or experience issues with their daily updates.

Users with this role have limited access within the system. For instance, they can determine whether a participant is able to provide daily updates, and they can view only some information that participants enter.

Recruiter

A Recruiter determines strategies for identifying, attracting, and retaining participants.

Users with this role can view the dashboard and organization details, both of which help them their strategies. They cannot load new participants; the Organization Coordinator performs this task.

Test Vendor Agent

A Test Vendor Agent works at a testing or laboratory facility that supplies an organization with testing materials. They are an organization's point of contact at the vendor.

Users with this role can see:

  • Personally identifiable information for only the participants who receive testing materials from the person's testing or laboratory facility. Access to this information allows these users to identify the participants who require tests and provide the testing materials to the participants.
  • Users with this role can also see the limited information that they need to support vendor testing on the dashboard and information related to entities and the organization.
