About fields

In a topic workflow configuration, you can define fields to store information for topics, actions, and attachments. Every topic workflow configuration includes a set of standard fields, and custom fields to store information related to topics that your organization finds useful.

To define whether or not a field appears for topics or actions in a given workflow state or for attachments of a certain type, you also specify the topic field accessibility by state, action field accessibility by state, and attachment field accessibility by type.
