Set the Minor Protected Status Age

The minor protected status age is the age at which minors in some jurisdictions can opt to prevent their proxy from viewing certain categories of healthcare information (for example, results, documents, or vital signs).

When a minor reaches the protected status age, an option becomes available to them from the Settings menu in Oracle Health Patient Portal Cloud Service, and they can select what information they want to restrict. When a proxy tries to access this information, they receive an error message.

By default, the minor protected status age is 13.

To set the minor protected status age:
  1. From the Configuration page, select Configure Confidentiality.
  2. Select Edit next to Minor Protected Status Age. The Minor Protected Status Age drawer opens.
  3. Enter the protected status age for your jurisdiction.
  4. Select Update.
