Refill Medications

Depending on your organization and settings, your Patient Portal might allow you to request a refill for your prescriptions.

To refill a medication:
  1. From the Ask Oracle menuAsk Oracle, select Refill Medications (or similarly named item). Alternatively, access the My Health dashboard, and then select Refill Medications (or similarly named item) from the My Health menu.
  2. Optionally, search the list of medications by name. Medications are not case-sensitive. A list of Medications which match the search results is displayed.

    Note:

    The list of medications is determined by your provider. To update your list of medications, meet with your provider to discuss and make any changes.

  3. Select a medication to view its details. The Medication Details page is displayed, which includes more information about the medication including instructions, start date, the provider who ordered the medication, and directions for taking or using the medication. 

    Note:

    See the Refills Remaining for details about how many refills are remaining for this prescription.
  4. If a prescription is available for refill, select Refill to display the Refill Medication page.

    Note:

    This button is not displayed if this prescription cannot be refilled at this time. For assistance with any prescriptions that cannot be refilled online, contact your provider's office or your pharmacy.
  5. Update the details for where to send the request and what pharmacy to send it to.
  6. Optionally, enter a comment about why this prescription needs to be refilled.
  7. Select Refill. The medication refill request is sent to the provider or care team that you selected.

If a refill request is approved, your provider or care team will send the request to the pharmacy you indicated.
Depending on your situation, your provider or care team may contact you about your request.
