Reply to Messages in Patient Portal

If your Patient Portal includes message options, you can reply to any message you receive.

To reply to a message:
  1. From the inbox, select a conversation.
  2. Select Reply.

    Note:

    Not all messages allow responses, depending on your organization's settings and the age of the conversation. If a message does not allow you to reply to it, you will need to write a new one.
  3. Enter your response in the message box.
  4. Optionally, select Add Attachment Attachment to add an attachment.
  5. Select Send (or similarly button). The message is added to the conversation thread. If an attachment was added, the filename is displayed next to the time the message was sent.

    Note:

    To save a draft, close the message draft without sending it. You can view drafts in the Drafts folder by selecting Drafts from the drop-down list on the Inbox page.
Depending on your healthcare site, you may be able to delete replies from view. After sending the reply, select the delete button to remove it. You can view deleted messages by selecting Deleted from the view list at the top of the inbox.
