About AI Room Assignment

Prerequisites for Running AI Room Assignment

AI Room Assignment is a data science based feature used for the batch assignment of rooms to reservations. It assigns rooms automatically considering guest preferences, membership levels, room features, and other criteria to minimize occupancy gaps and room wear & tear.

The following configuration updates are required when activating the AI Room Assignment OPERA Control:

• Market Groups. Each market group is given a Rank to denote the relative priority of the market group for selection during AI room assignment.

• Membership Type - Details. Each membership type is given a Rank to denote the relative priority of the membership type for selection during AI room assignment.

• VIP Levels. Each VIP level is given a Rank to denote the relative priority of the VIP level for selection during AI room assignment.

• Room Types. Room Types catering to guests with smoking or accessibility requests must be identified by selecting the Smoking and/or Accessibility check boxes.

• Room Features. The room features need to be mapped to multiple profile preferences as applicable using the Mapped Preference Codes column.

The following configuration updates are required when activating the Allow Automatic Room Upgrades OPERA Control:

• Room Type Hierarchies. AI Room Assignment will reference room type hierarchies to perform automatic room type upgrades.

• Select the Market Groups eligible for complimentary AI room type upgrade; select the AI Upgrade check box to nominate reservations with a market code linked to this market group as eligible for a complimentary room type upgrade.
