Prerequisites for Configuring Room Hierarchy (Room) Types

Room Type hierarchies are available for selection in the Upgrade Rules configuration.

When the AI Room Assignment and Allow Automatic Room Upgrades OPERA Controls are active, the AI room assignment process references this configuration for automatic reservation room type upgrades.

Auto Generate Room Hierarchy Types

Available when the AI Room Assignment and Allow Automatic Room Upgrades OPERA Controls are active, and upgrade rules are not configured.

1. Click Auto-Generate.

2. Select the property and results are displayed automatically.

Adding Room Hierarchy Type

1. Select the Administration menu, select Inventory, select Accommodation Management then select Room Hierarchy Types.

2. Click New and enter the following details:

   1. From Room Type: Select a Room type from the list.

   2. To Room Type: Select one or room types from the list.

   3. Sequence: Enter a number for the display sequence or the order in which the upsell room hierarchy is listed.

3. Click Save.

Editing Room Hierarchy Type

1. Select the Administration menu, select Inventory, select Accommodation Management then select Room Hierarchy Types.

2. Enter search criteria and click Search.

3. Select the room Type hierarchy, click the vertical ellipsis Actions menu and select Edit.

4. Update details.

5. Click Save.

Deleting Room Hierarchy Type

1. Select the Administration menu, select Inventory, select Accommodation Management then select Room Hierarchy Types.

2. Enter search criteria and click Search.

3. Select the room Type hierarchy, click the vertical ellipsis Actions menu and select Delete.

4. Click Delete to confirm
