Configuring Bed Types

Prerequisites for Configuring Bed Types

Bed Types are referenced in room type configuration to identify the bed configuration . If a room type has more than one physical bed then configure a bed type for the combination; for example QS for Queen + Single .

Note:

Bed types is global configuration in a multi-property operation.

Adding Bed Types

1. From theAdministration menu, select Inventory, select Accommodation Management and then select Bed Types.

2. Click New and enter the following details:

   1. Code: Enter a code for the bed type.

   2. Description:Enter a description for the bed type.

      1. Manage Translation: Click to open the multi-language screen and configure a translated description for each language. (Available when the Multi-language OPERA Control is active).

   3. Sequence: Enter a display sequence.

3. Click Save or Save and Continue to add another.

Editing Bed Types

1. From theAdministration menu, select Inventory, select Accommodation Management and then select Bed Types.

2. Enter search criteria and click Search.

3. Select the bed type in the search result, then click the vertical ellipsis Actions menu and select Edit

4. Update details.

5. Click Save.

Deleting Bed Types

1. From theAdministration menu, select Inventory, select Accommodation Management and then select Bed Types.

2. Enter search criteria and click Search.

3. Select the bed type in the search result, then click the vertical ellipsis Actions menu and select Delete.

4. Click Delete to confirm.
