Managing Waitlist Reservations

At times it is not possible to create and confirm a reservation for the dates requested by the caller; this may be due to the property may be fully occupied, sell limits applied or the particular room type and/or rate code requested by the caller is not be available. In situations like these, the waitlist feature is available to assign a Waitlist status to a future reservation.  A reservation may be moved to Waitlist status at the time it is being created.

When the callers requested room type or rate becomes available for their desired stay dates, the waitlisted reservation can then be accepted and confirmed.

Note:

Wait-listed reservations are deleted during End-of-Day processing two days after the reservations departure date.

Moving Reservation to Waitlist

A reservation can be moved to Waitlist status at the time it is being created, select Waitlist from the Look to Book sales screen.

Viewing Waitlist Reservation Details

  1. From the OPERA Cloud menu, select Bookings, select Reservations, and then select Manage Reservation.

  2. Enter search criteria, select Waitlist reservation status from list, click Search.

  3. Select the reservation in the search result, click  I Want to... then Waitlist Details.

Accepting (Confirming) Waitlist Reservation

  1. From the OPERA Cloud menu, select Bookings, select Reservations, and then select Manage Reservation.

  2. Enter search criteria, select Waitlist reservation status from list, click Search.

  3. Select the reservation in the search result, click  I Want to... then Accept Reservation.

  4. You will be directed to Look to Book to confirm room type and rate availability, click Continue to Look to Book.
