VIP Levels

Prerequisites for VIP Levels

OPERA Cloud provides the ability to define different VIP levels for your guests. Throughout the application, guests and their associated reservation may be filtered using the VIP code assigned. Many reports also offer the ability to filter guests and their reservation data based on VIP levels.

Some common uses of VIP levels are to easily view VIP arrivals and departures or VIP guests in house. VIP codes can also be referenced when configuring global alerts to display alerts to the staff of guests who require or deserve special attention.

VIP status is usually used to identify regular guests, celebrities, royalty, hotel owners, loyalty club members, and important corporate guests. Regular (non-VIP) guests would not have a value in the VIP field.

When the  Reservation Color Definition OPERA Controls is set to VIP Levels, the color assigned to the VIP level selected in the guest profile appears on reservations in Reservation Search results, Reservation Presentation, Room Assignment and Check In.

In multi-property operations, the VIP code configuration is global for all properties.
