Configuring Membership Type Details

Adding Membership Type Details

  1. From the Administration menu, select Client Relations, Membership Management, and then Membership Types.

  2. Click New and complete the following:

    1. Type: Enter a code for the membership type.

    2. Description: Enter a description for the membership type.

    3. Points Label: Enter the term used to describe the awards for this membership type. For example, you could enter Points for a loyalty club membership type, and Miles for a frequent flyer membership type. This could be used on the folio points message

    4. Class: Select a membership class from the list to assign to the membership type. For more information, see Configuring Membership Classes.

    5. Seq: Enter a number that controls the position of this code in listings. Codes without a sequence number assigned are listed in alphabetical order following codes with a sequence assigned. 

    6. Centrally Managed: Select check box if membership points are calculated and managed centrally or in an integrated solution. Leave unchecked if this is a recognition-only program for the property.

  3. Click Save and Go To Presentation.

Editing Membership Type Details

  1. From the Administration menu, select Client Relations, Membership Management, and then Membership Types.

  2. Enter search criteria, then click Search.

  3. Select the membership type and click the vertical ellipse Actions menu and select Edit.

  4. Click Membership Type Details link.

  5. Click Edit and complete the following:

    1. Description: Enter a description for the membership type.

    2. Points Label: Enter the term used to describe the awards for this membership type. For example, you could enter Points for a loyalty club membership type, and Miles for a frequent flyer membership type. This could be used on the folio points message

    3. Class: Select a membership class from the list to assign to the membership type. For more information, see Configuring Membership Classes.

    4. Seq: Enter a number that controls the position of this code in listings. Codes without a sequence number assigned are listed in alphabetical order following codes with a sequence assigned. 

    5. Centrally Managed: Select check box if membership points are calculated and managed centrally or in an integrated solution. Leave unchecked if this is a recognition-only program for the property.

    6. Primary: Select if this is your primary membership. Only one membership type can be selected as primary.

    7. Inactive: Select check box to inactive the membership type; making it no longer available for selection.

  6. Click Save.
