PWA - Managing Alerts
Alerts are messages for hotel staff that are displayed as a notification when the reservation is accessed at a specific time (status) in the reservation life cycle.
Viewing Alerts
- From the Ask Oracle menu navigate either to Arrivals, In-House, or Departures.
- Select a reservation.
- Select Alerts from the More Actions menu.
Note:

The Alert list may include entries with a badge labeled Global. These are Alerts not specifically added to the reservation but displayed based on rules.

Global Alerts cannot be modified from the reservation.
Adding Alerts
- From the Ask Oracle menu navigate either to Arrivals, In-House, or Departures.
- Select a reservation.
- Select Alerts from the More Actions menu.
- Select New and enter the following details:
- Code: Select the Alert. For more information, see Configuring Reservation Alert Messages.
- Area: Select the area (event) when the alert is to be
generated.
- Reservation: Reservation alert is triggered when opening reservation presentation (manage reservation) for future date reservation.
- Inhouse: Alert is triggered when opening reservation presentation (manage reservation) for in house reservation.
- Check- In: Alert is triggered at the time the reservation checks in, prior to opening Check in Reservation.
- Check- Out: Alert is triggered at the time the reservation checks out, prior to opening Billing.
- Description: The text of the alert. Based on the alert code selected, default text is populated and can be edited if required.
- Select Create to save the Alert.
Updating Alerts
- From the Ask Oracle menu navigate either to Arrivals, In-House, or Departures.
- Select a reservation.
- Select Alerts from the More Actions menu.
- Tap or click on an Alert. Alternatively, swipe to the right and select Edit.
- Update the relevant fields, such as the Area and Description.
Deleting Alerts
- From the Ask Oracle menu navigate either to Arrivals, In-House, or Departures.
- Select a reservation.
- Select Alerts from the More Actions menu.
- Tap or click on an Alert and select Delete. Alternatively, swipe to the right and select Delete.
Display Alerts
Alerts are displayed automatically when you access the Reservation Detail screen from either Arrivals, In-House or Departures. Only Alerts corresponding to that area are displayed.
If the Alert Code has associated images, they are displayed alongside the Alert Code and its Description. Tap or click Close.
