Configuring Leisure Resource Features

Features are optional attributes used to filter or match resources by gender, skillset, view, size, or language. Configure Feature Types before Features.

Feature Types

Feature Types categorize resource attributes. For a cabana, use View or Amenities; for a therapist, use Gender, Skillset, or Language.

Examples:

  • For a cabana, Feature Types can include View or Amenities.
  • For a spa therapist, Feature Types can include Gender, Skillset, or Language.

To configure a Feature Type:

  1. From the Administration menu, select Bookings, then Leisure Management.
  2. On the Feature Types tab, select Add.
  3. In Code, enter a Feature Type name.
  4. In Description, enter a description.
  5. Select Set as inactive when the Feature Type should not appear in results by default.
  6. For localized descriptions, select a translation language. See Configuring Localized Code Descriptions.
  7. Select Add and Close or Add and New.

Features

Features are specific details or attributes that help describe a resource and help people identify the appropriate option for the guest.

Examples:

  • A guest requests a female therapist for a hot stone massage.
  • A guest requests an ocean view cabana.

To configure a Feature:

  1. From the Administration menu, select Bookings, then Leisure Management.
  2. On the Features tab, select Add.
  3. Enter the code, description, and long description.
  4. Select the Leisure Experience Types to which the Feature applies and the applicable Leisure Feature Type.
  5. Select Set as inactive when the Feature should not appear in results by default.
  6. For localized descriptions, select a translation language. See Configuring Localized Code Descriptions.
  7. Select Add and Close or Add and New.
