Payers and Brands

A health care payer is an entity that supports the branding of health care products.

Payer

Code

The unique key that is used to identify the payer

Description

The description of the payer

Name

The name of the payer

Access Restriction

The access restriction restricting access to claims related to this payer (see the User Access chapter in the Security Guide for more details)

Constraints:

  • A payer can only be linked to an access restriction of type Payer Claim Access

Payer Codes

A payer code shows the code by which the payer presents itself to the providers. Providers can use one of these codes to submit claims. A payer can have one or more time valid payer codes.

Start date

The start date of the payer code

End date

The end date of the payer code

Constraints:

  • It is not allowed to have an overlap in time validity for payer codes with the same payer and code

Brands

A brand is a commercial label placed on a product. A payer can have one or more brands.

  • A brand can only be linked to an access restriction of type Brand Claim Access.
