Policy Statuses

The status of a policy reflects the policy’s position in the flow. A policy can have only one status at a time. The following policy statuses exist:

Status	Description
Edit	The policy is entered or set back from other statuses to be edited; it is not yet (re)submitted
In Process	The policy is being processed
Pended	The policy is pending due to an irregularity with the policy; processing is suspended
Pending File Review	The policy pending because the enrollment file, in which the policy was included, is still under review
Approved	The policy is approved (final status)
Canceled	The policy is canceled (final status)

Status Transitions

The status transitions are depicted in the image below:

1	Edit	In Process	The policy is submitted for processing.
2	In Process	Edit	One or more fatal messages are attached to the policy during processing. Policy that has the In Process status is edited through the Policy In Integration point.
3	In Process	Approved	No fatal messages are attached to the policy during processing.
4	In Process	Pended	One or more pend reasons are attached to the policy during processing.
5	Pended	In Process	The user accepts the pended policy and submits the policy for further processing.
6	Pended	Edit	The pended policy is set back to the Edit status in the View and Edit Policy user interface page or through the Policy In integration point.
7	Approved	Edit	The approved policy is set back to the Edit status. A new version of the policy is created.
8	Edit	Approved	The policy is reverted to its previous version.
9	Approved	Canceled	The approved policy is canceled via the user interface or the API.
10	Edit	Canceled	The pended policy is canceled via the user interface or the API.
11	Canceled	Edit	The canceled policy is set back to the Edit status.
12	In Process	Pending File Review	The policy has reached the step in the process where the enrollment file status is evaluated and the enrollment file has not yet been accepted.
13	Pended	Canceled	The pended policy is canceled via the user interface or the API.
14	Pending File Review	Edit	The pended policy is set back to the Edit status in the View and Edit Policy user interface page or through the Policy In integration point.
15	Pending File Review	In Process	The enrollment file has been accepted and the policy continues processing.
16	Pending File Review	Cancelled	The pended policy is canceled via the user interface or the API.
