Mark a visit that a subject misses as skipped

Depending on how a study is set up, you might be able to skip a visit that a subject misses. You can always skip an optional visit.

Before you mark a visit that a subject missed, consider the following:
  • You cannot skip a visit if any data has been entered for it. This includes the Screening visit, any required visit that occurs before Screening, a Randomization visit, and any visit that starts an open-label period.

    Tip:

Before you can skip a visit, you must clear the entered data. Do not remove values by using the Backspace/Delete keys, and do not use Reset (under the Question actions menu).

To clear data, hover over the question, select the Question actions menu (three horizontal lines) to the right of the question, and then select Clear.

  • If you skipped a visit in error and need to enter data for the visit, click the visit in the table of subjects and confirm that you want to start it.
  • A skipped visit cannot be populated by a Data Intake integration. If applicable, undo the skipped visit then request the vendor to place the file back on sFTP for re-import.
