Re-sign a subject's data

If a site user updates the answer to a question for a subject who is already signed, that subject becomes unsigned. To make sure the updated data is accurate, you need to re-sign a subject's data.

Before you re-sign a subject's data, consider the following:
  • You need the appropriate permission to sign a subject's data.
  • If a site user removes a completed and signed repeating form instance, the visits and subjects associated with that repeating form become unsigned and you must re-sign the subject's data again.

Want to see how to perform this task? Watch the video below.

  1. On the Home page, determine where to work. For more information, see Access study modes and pages.
  2. Along the top, make sure Subjects is selected.
  3. From the View drop-down, select Ready to Sign to filter your search for subjects who need to be re-signed.
Subjects that are ready to sign are subjects whose visits are completed.

    Tip:

You can use the View drop-down to filter displayed in a visit to identify forms and questions that have to be re-signed.
  4. Filter your view based on several criteria. For more information, see Filter subjects in a study.
  5. In the table, locate a subject who has the unsigned icon next to it (Unsigned icon is an orange fountain pen) and select the checkbox to the left of the subject.
  6. Along the top, click Manage Subjects.
  7. From the drop-down, select Sign.
  8. On the Sign Data dialog, enter the user name and password that you use to sign in Oracle Clinical One Platform.
  9. Click Sign.
Once you re-sign data for a subject, all visits are marked with the signed icon (Signed icon). The same icon appears next to the subject and on every form and question within a form.
