Lock a subject's data

You can lock a subject's data at a visit, form, and question level. Also, you can lock multiple visits or subjects at the same time.

Consider the following notes for locked data:

• Advanced Study Version changes will not be applied to locked data, but will be applied once the data is unlocked.
• Coding updates and lab normal range updates will still be visible even if the form is locked.
• Custom JavaScript rules do not run against locked subject data.
• While a subject's locking is in progress, the Subject Locked status will not be reflected in the subject's history until the lock action is complete.
• There are instances when you might have to manually lock questions that couldn't be automatically locked. For questions marked in the study's design to auto-lock after completing a specified action, locate the visit that is referenced in the Auto-lock failure notification, identify which questions have the auto-lock rule configured, and lock them manually in your study. • Lock a subject at the form or visit level
  Sponsor users can lock forms and visits to prevent users from editing subject data.
• Unlock a subject at the form or visit level
  Sponsor users can unlock forms and visits that were previously locked to allow users to modify subject data.
• Lock multiple subjects and visits at once
  You can lock multiple subjects or visits at once to prevent data changes.
• Unlock multiple subjects and visits at once
  You can unlock multiple subjects or visits at once to allow data changes.
