Step 2: Create machine and application servers

For you to create a Topics Service user, you must configure two servers Signal Server and TopicsServer.

You must perform step 1 before moving to step 2.
  1. From the Weblogic Domain drop-down on the upper left, select Environment and then Machines.
  2. On the Create a Machine: Machine Identity page, add the your server address and from the Machine OS, select Unix.
  3. Select Next.
  4. On the Create a Machine: Node Manager Properties page:
    1. Select from the Node Manager Type drop-down SSL.
    2. Selected Listen address will be picked up, for example: Your server address.

      Note:

      Your Listen Address must be a special domain name that refers to the local machine, such as a localhost and can't be a machine name in order for Signal and other servers to function.
    3. In the Listen Port field, insert 5556.
  5. Select Next.
  6. Check the information on the Create a Machine: Review page and select Create for the confirmation message to appear.
  7. From the Weblogic Domain drop-down on the upper left, select Environment and then Servers.
  8. Here you must create three servers using for Signal Server and TopicsServer using different credentials. Repeat the steps below for each server creation starting from step 4:
    1. On the Servers page, click Create.
    2. On the Create a Server: Server Properties page, insert the insert the following details:
      Fields Signal Server Server details TopicsServer Server details
      Name Signal Server TopicsServer
      Server Listen Address Your server DNS name Your server DNS name
      Server Listen Port 8001 8003
    3. On the Create a Server: Machine Binding page, select Next.
    4. On the Create a Server: Review page, select Create for the confirmation message to appear.
